CAROUSEL CARES

SCHOOL GROUPS & FIELD TRIPS

We are offering discount ride programs for school groups as well as tours of the Carousel.

For more information, visit the Field Trips page.

DISABILITIES

People with disabilities are welcome to ride the carousel at no cost. A Carousel Cares Complimentary Pass can be picked up at the Gift Shop.

Updated: 11/19/2024 - Our wheelchair ramp is currently not available for use. Therefore, guests will need to be ambulatory to transition from their mobility aides (motorized or manual wheelchairs or scooters) to the Carousel unless their mobility aides do not require a ramp to enter/exit the Carousel platform (canes, crutches, walkers).

We are seeking monthly sponsors of $300 to directly cover the costs associated with providing free rides to persons with disabilities. Sponsors may remain anonymous or will be featured for the assigned month of their sponsorship on our website and social media accounts. To make a donation to sponsor a month of free rides, click here.

SENSORY HOUR

We believe that Salem's Carousel is a place for all to come to and feel welcomed and valued. To further this idea, starting February 2023, we will offer a Sensory Hour the first Monday of each month for the first hour of opening (10am-11am). During this hour, we will turn off the music (and shut off Carousel lights if requested) to provide a quiet and calming ride experience for guests with Autism or other sensory sensitivities.
